Introduction:
A snow window is more than just a decoration; it’s a unique, handcrafted piece of art that brings a magical atmosphere to any space. In this article, I will guide you through the entire process of transforming an ordinary glass surface into a stunning winter scene.
1. Step: Consultation and Planning
The first step is the consultation, which takes place via email. It’s essential that I receive the following information:
Exact window measurements
Desired theme (e.g., winter landscape, Christmas motifs, animals, etc.)
Exact location address
A phone number for contact
Any special requests or individual requirements We will then discuss the details and finalize the design together.
2. Step: On-Site Preparation
The customer plays an important role in the preparations. It’s necessary to clear the area around the window within a few meters to ensure I can work without obstacles. For the best perspective, I need to step back frequently and observe the artwork from a distance during the creation process. Furniture and other objects should be removed from the immediate area, and if needed, I will also use a ladder to access the window.
3. Step: Creating the Artwork
This is where the creative process begins. I spray the designs by hand directly onto the glass surface using snow spray. This is a precise and time-consuming process that requires a lot of skill, as I create everything freehand without stencils. Depending on the size and complexity of the design, this step can take several hours or even days.
4. Step: Final Touches
Once the decoration is complete, I make the final adjustments, refining the details and ensuring the artwork is well-balanced and harmonious.
5. Step: Presenting the Finished Artwork
Finally, I present the completed decoration to the customer. At this stage, any last-minute changes can be made if the customer has specific requests. Once everyone is happy, the snow window is ready to be admired for weeks or even months.
Tips for Longevity
Although snow window decorations are quite durable, they should not be touched or rubbed, as they are delicate. If left untouched, they can last for months without any issues.
Additionally, I offer live spraying demonstrations at events, which can entertain guests. All that’s needed is a glass surface!
